Hey so ok lets talk music!

Here's some bands I've been listening to recently: Le Chevre, All-American Rejects, The Postal Service, Death Cab For Cutie, Plain White T's, Mae, Explosions in the Sky (don't really know them, randomly downloaded an album), The Fray, and Sunny Day Real Estate. That's about all I can think of for now. Anyone got any suggestions on other bands to chex out???

Oh hey, I've been listening to most of those lately because of you (not so much into the All American Rejects... not my taste...) but more recently I've binged on Mewithoutyou (A -> B and Catch for Us the Foxes). Mewithoutyou can be compared with Emery, Mae, Further Seems Forever, but it's much more hectic (vocally), and the lyrics seem thousands of times more profound.

Someone played some The Rocket Summer, so I'm looking it up right now (no sign on slsknet, nuts...). Now I'm listening on purevolume.com.

Mae, yes, awesome. I don't think I can disagree with anyone on the Tooth and Nail label. They're all good.


Right, of course, Metric. But you knew that. I'm listening to Metric while I wait in the queue for The Rocket Summer, which I indeed found on slsknet.

Hmm, I see. Yeah well when I format you can download off me. I generally always have good experiences with it but you need to pay attention to who you dl off of. I just ignore peoples names that are grey unless there is noone else in which case I get in the shortest queue or the one with a fast speed/lots of open download slots.

I still can't seem to upload to... anyone. But if I could, I might let you know that I ripped two anberlin albums. But I won't.

I always make small replys, I cant spell and my sentences start to run on and on if I type too much. Soulseek always gives me trouble, but I like it more then any other file sharing program I have used, K++ was good until all the files turned into fake broken ones

My parents gave me permission to download music, but not to downloading the music downloading programs. I just use G2P or make friends send me music.

The album that I downloaded was labelled Cowboy Bebop.

Soulseek is amazing.

Well, I should say that the slsk network is amazing.
The program itself... well... I encouraged a friend to install it, and it was horribly broken.
It just sucked!

I'm using a Linux client. It's called nicotine. In terms of functionality and everything, it gets a gold star.
Except that I'm not able to upload (though it doesn't appear that I'm preventing it from being able to do so). After a while I became resolved to this fact and now I just don't really care. It's sad and all that I can't contribute to the massive amounts of piracy that are going on, but it's not preventing me from downloading any more.
