Yeah... im THAT much of a noob as it took me hours to figure out I had got Firefox to block all images from s18.photobucket as some less considerate forum posters eleswhere were using un work safe images in sigs and so on :ermm: oops.

Well it aint that interesting... but:

I think photography is art, I have been taking ?stock photos? for use on my companies new website, bare in mind we are a Architecture company, what do you think of the photos? I ask as you come with fresh eyes, as I doubt you visited any of the places. Plus I?m bored.

I?m not sure this one works? it?s a view right the through a church which was bombed out in WW2, so I?m on the east and the modern office building is on the west of the church, with the glassless empty windows in between?

Posted Image

Nothing special but a nice copyright free stock photo of cranes for photoshopping. Posted Image

Contrast of 18th century industrial buildings, now restaurant and museums and things, with the Cathedral in the background

Posted Image

As the city centre is built on a hill, a 2D image gives the impression of a continuous ?wall? of buildings, or does it?

Posted Image

I like this one. The little yellow building was built in 1460 something, and so contrasts nicely with the 1960?s modernist Van de Rohe style office block.

Posted Image

Another nice stock picture, for future multiple uses.

Hmmm, yes photography IS an art form, and as most, vif not all art forms, it is subjective.

nice shots, but personally, few of them leap out as spectacular to me, the city shot is close, with a change of lighting mayhaps....

Yeah, i guess i need more practice. I really like city scapes and buildings, Bristol is a pretty photgenic place too. Hmm i like the 5th one down, cos in 1460 odd a four story building was a veritable skyscraper, but pales in significance to modern buildings.

Well if anyone ever wondered what England looked like, it looks like that :P

~ Cleaned (Split) the topic up (see "Coretechs' heritage" in Chat-box). Last post by coretechs:

I'll see if my brother can send me some pictures of England... He's in Manchester right now... But he's moving out of there to Cork, Co. Cork, Ireland.

It's because he know's Ireland is much better. I should know, I lived there.
