Hey everyone!
So, for the demo I've decided to pretty much make up the story as we go along and leave the real story out of it until the official game is ready. That means that we need to make some new quests. That said I thought some of you might like to see or make some user-created quests in the demo.

Now you may be saying, "What exactly do I have to do?" Well basically, just think long and hard and then when you're ready send me a PM (be sure to keep a backup!) with all the information about your quest. Please use the sample format below:

<b>Name:</b> My Quest Name
<b>NPCs:</b> soupy - strange warrior
tatin - captain of guards
mardvarg - creatures found around the coast
<b>Items:</b> mardvarg eye, bastard sword of nomother
<b>Places:</b> (This will be limited to Mediobogdum, Riverdale and the coast)
<b>Desc:</b> *Description paragraph about what the game is about.*
<b>Dialogues:</b> (*'s denote player interactions
*player talks to soupy
soupy: please take this item to the captain for me!
*player gets: note which reads "<note text here>"
*player talks to tatin
tatin: ah, this is very grave news indeed. please go kill 10 mardvargs
*player loses: note
*player kills 10 mardvargs and gets mardvarg eyes from them
*player talks to tatin
tatin: ah thank you, they were such a nuisance. here is a bastard sword of nomother.
*player gets: bastard sword of nomother

Something to that effect. It can of course be more elaborate and such (indeed I would prefer it to be much more elaborate than that). Also, please try to be serious (and literate).

I think this is a really good way for you guys to help us out and to help us get the game out faster. It was actually the Roleplaying forum that gave this idea to me. I figured, "Hey, if they can make up creative stories why not let them help us out a bit?" So, if you're interested go ahead and you might just see your quest featured in Fondusi's.

<b>I also want to make a note that anything you submit to us becomes our property and we may use it, not use it, dissect it, edit it, etc. as we see fit. If you don't agree with that, please don't submit anything. This is just to ensure that there are no complications down the road.</b>

Happy writing!

~Drack

before we start have you considered tutorial quests?
maybe a series of quests that start at the begining of the game to help us understand the new controls, gameplay ect.
or would you just want random quests like the one you posted?

Could come up with some good intro quests if you wanna go that route. :D So that way u have something for the beta without releasing the real story

would it be possible for the intro quests to be randomized? I know that I am sick of playing the same intro for beloved games. And i am talking extreme variety.

Uhm. I think we should all be able to come up with some good stuff between us. :D

Maybe its just me, but once you have a map a story shoudl flow from it... it will hard to avoid clich?s :blink:

@Moose
Yes there will probably be some introductory quests to show the basics of the main town (Mediobogdum).

@Miz
I have been seriously considering adding a Joingame script (via the in game script editor for admins) and I most likely will so the answer to your question is yes it is possible.

@Fas
I'm going to post a map probably tonight.

Yeah basically just see what you can do. If you want to make a tutorial quest do that if you want to make a regular quest do that. I'll let you know if I have too many but until then just see what you can do. :)

yeah, some kinda reference would be nice, once I have enough info to make stuff up I will do just just that. I am quite good at making junk up. some sorta pathological thing. i dunno.

I have been thinking about this little 'quest' of yours for us Drak. But without anything to go on its kind of hard, what sort of items are there? Is the map finished? Could you give is a few areas that their may be? And so on, as mizkage said, a reference point might be nice.

Even if there are no monsters or items yet, the blank map might be quite nice to just walk around and get some inspiration for example.

Sorry sorry. I've been super busy IRL. I'll post a small map later tonight. Also, Pontifus is back and helping out with quests a bit so we have even more than what you guys have sent us. :)
