Ahhh. So it begins.
This was a big problem at Crescent Island. A newb pops up expecting instant gratification, sees nothing readily available, and begins a thread asking "Where's the game?".
Said newb reads the reply and disappears, empty-handed.
By the end of it we almost had to drag the admins back from the keyboard to keep them from roasting the newbs. "No the game is NOT UP YET. When will it be up??? WHEN IT'S UP!!!"
Anyways, point. Point is that you have to make it really, really obvious that there is no game to play yet. That, or write a text-check program to test every new thread and have an automated stock reply: "No, the game is not up yet". But that would require effort, and distract Dracky from finishing the game.
CI's solution? Default starting page. If user=not logged in, then display "Welcome! The game is not finished yet."
