He just got out of the bath tub and went to his room and came back to my mom and said that he swallowed a quarter. He got taken to the ER just right now by my mom and probaly is close to the hospital. Any tips on what might happen? And how long hes gonna be there?

They might pump his stomache. Otherwise I would think he would just pass it through his system (ouch!) but that might not be the most pleasant situation ever. What a stupid thing to do...swallowing a quarter *eats a loonie (a dollar coin in Canada for you foreigners)* How old is he?

Hah. I have a memory of a friend doing such a thing. She was fine. There was just a very shiny penny in the toilet bowl.

Hes 6... I think we just got another call from the ER There probaly gonna do some X rays and see what to do. And I think he did it by accident...he knows alot for a 6 year old. I mean a regular 6 year old would just say,"I swallowed a quarter?" but he started saying am I gonna be ok? He has a thunder storm ophobia...er...I don't know if thats how you spell it...Well its when your real scared of a certian thing.

I'm glad I'm not the cashier that gets to accept that quarter once it comes out. This just re-enforces the idea of how dirty money can be. I hope he doesn't get sick because of it.
