Firstly, I have promoted CaseyWeederman to a Moderator due to his activity level.
Secondly, I have created a user group called VIP for people who make donations to the game. Currently, ShadowUser is the only person to be in this group. Being in the group allows you a little bit more access to the forums and gives things like being able to hold more PM's, being able to open and close your own topics, upload a personal photo (up to you of course), and things like that. Eventually, I will add a VIP forum for giving special sneak peaks and hints/tips about the game as well.
In other news, I've just formatted my computer and I have to do it again tonight so the game is on hold for a little bit while I get everything organized.
Edit:
Site was down for a bit today due to host DNS issues.
Thats all for now folks!

I mean... Gee, I feel so sorry for you!
*coughcough*
Why, what happened? Badness? Virusness? Etcness?
And yay, I am a moderator. I shall moderate with honour and dignity.
Crush, crush, destroy! Waaahahahaha!

Or I'll take it as my personal responsibility to answer all of those "Is the game ready yet? Can I play now? When will the game be done? Where do I go to download the game?" questions.
Although.. I'll still be the primary instigator of the "Can I play the beta yet?" questions.

Congratulations. And remember: With a little bit of power comes a little bit of room for mischief...errr...I mean responsibility.

I remember back in the CI days. We had this forum set aside for a roleplaying game. It was called the Linear RPG. Basically it was that - a contrast to ordinary forum roleplaying (which included a whole lot of "and then and then I bit his head off and he died!!! lolzors"), which means that it was more like dungeons and dragons, using random number generators and such.
So I talked one of the admins into making this one guy... cincired (possibly numbers in there too, that's all I remember) into a moderator.
So this here moderator starts running some characters through battles etc, and we notice a trend...
This one player was getting stupid amounts of exp and gold etc. So we tell him to ease up a bit, and it is mentioned that he is suspected of creating another account and giving that character an unfair advantage, and this whole long scary ordeal about ipchecks (guess what, the addresses matched, surprise) and it turns out it's his neice or something who is too poor to have the innernets for her poor old self and blah blah etc.
So he goes off and erases all of the threads. Just like that. Kablam.
So of course the responsibility was my own. We tried to rebuild, but it didn't work out. It just sorta died.
Not that I'm planning anything... you know.... Just sayin'...

But I won't.
I restrained myself.
Are you proud of me? I worked hard to resist the temptation!
And it paid off.
P.S.Check the timestamp of this post for a surprise!

*looks around*
"What's Gir???" (why coding not working? Just me?)
That, your avatar, is Gir. He is a character from a show called Invader Zim. This show is pure awesome, but it was cancelled because it was too dark for the kids who were watching it. I can definitely picture Nicktoon's target audience being totally freaked out by it.
It's got a bit of a cult following. The creator is none other than Johnen Vasquez, a crazy, brilliant man. He's my hero.
So now you know what Gir is.
Back on topic. I'm sure we could think of a lot more for the forementioned VIPs to receive, but I think this much is enough. I can't stand a game where something is expected of you in order to fully enjoy the game. "You must have three more tickets to live, Billy!"

I generally donate to every game i play if i can, even donating to DarkAngels Del during the short period of time he was inviting such transactions, not to get a return on investment, just to, you know 'contribute'.
Having spent the last 8 months checking in regularly and actively doing my best to help keep the community alive via the forums it has to be said having a special section which can only be accessed by those who want to contribute to a so far unseen 'product' seems a little harsh.
Bleh, up to you mate.

On the one hand, it's a little weird to show favour for rich people and ignore those who aren't fortunate enough (Ok, so this is a bit of an exaggeration, but other than that it fits this scenario).
On the other hand, those rich people worked hard, earned their money, and wanted to put it to good cause. Why shouldn't they be rewarded for their care and effort?
Personally, I wouldn't think it necessary to reward me with extra goodies, I just wanna see the game. But then, I'm not the one who donated the money.
Hm... If you give blood they give you a lollipop or something. That should be noted.
Ah well. Do I have any ideas?
Well, how about a free shirt or something?
Nah, that still doesn't really solve anything.
Hm. Well, in the end I guess all I can suggest is that you get the game done.

I get what your saying, you 'owe' us nothing, but several of us have been sticking around for rather a long time now, and i'm just as eager for news as anyone else. Just cos i aint prepared to part with hard earned cash *yet* don't mean i dont want to know whats going on. Treehuggers generous donations has been noted, and certainly once somthing comes out, im sure alot of us will want to help keep the server running and whatever.
You want anything though just ask, i reckon i could pick up the technicalities of this mapping lark pretty dam quick if some geezer points me in the direction of a faq or whatnot

Don't post here ever again.

That is that the forums are the community, from such a point of view, and relationships in them will directly affect those in the game.
Zat is all.

The gameplay wouldn't be so hot, but the live community would be fantastic, as it is live, in person, which is always a plus. Well over 90% of communication is in facial expressions, manneurisms and tone of voice etc.
Hehehehehe!
If Fondusis was a painting of abstract art, what would it look like?
