Yes, I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed. Perfect timing too, my birthday being on the 20th.

I suppose I'll relate my experiences.

A nurse showed me into a room with windows, onto a green chair wearing a green hat. I wore the hat for a bit while my mother spoke to the doctor/dentist/specialist/guy with sharp stuff and fancy papers on wall about whether I should get just two removed... whatever.

So I got this ill-fitting airtube over my nose, and the doctor/dentist/guy lost one vain in favour of another in my arm. I don't remember a whole lot after that, he never asked me to count down from 10 or anything.

I woke up in the "recovery room" although I do partly remember being guided into the room. Apparently I was humming and singing the whole time. Of the songs I recall...: Mario theme, Blackbird by the Beatles, aaand... Ah yes, Magical Trevor.

"I'm fine, I'm fine."

Even when the pain kicked in, it was never unbearable.

So I say now... Apparently tomorrow (the second day after the surgery) is going to be the killer, as that is when the swelling peaks.

I'm eating soft foods like chicken-noode/rice soup, baby prune food (prune food for babies), and drinking V8, gatorade, and swishing my mouth out with salt water.

My cheeks are all puffed out. There's a dull pain in my jaws.

But that's about it. Not too much to it.

So anyone else have any surgery stories they'd like to relate? Anyone getting surgery any time soon?

sum day ill eat ur cat ricko...

Well this is not much about surgery or teeth but ill post it anyway... Ok when I was about 5 years old My neighberhood had 2 playgrounds we'd always go to. One day they built a new one over an older one so we went to go check out the new one.
Well this was really of me being very young and stubborn so what I did was on the way there I was so excited I took my seatbelt off and went up to the middle row of seats. You know how theres an air conditioner right in the middle right there? Well if you don't there was one. All the sudden my mom stopped real hard and I would of been fine but I wasn't aware that she was going to so I was not holding on to anything so I flew foward and my fore head hit the air conditioners and all I remember was my mom staring at me and hitting the gas so hard everyone hit the back of their seats, and all I remember after that was the faint sound of me crying like I heard it far away and pain in my head. Next thing I knew I was in the hospital and 3 nurses were looking over me blocking my view of my mom and brother sitting next to me I didn't feal anything cause my head felt numb. After about 2 hours I fell unconcious, when I woke up I was in my house in bed and my head felt like it had stitches in it. When my mom saw me out of bed she rush me back in and said you need to rest. After that school was tough... everybody called me harry potter and scar for a whole year after that I would show some people every now and then and I would repeat the story of my head and how I became harry potter and my scar is still there today.

P.S. WB casey. Sorry bout for teeth... I got a filling once but thats a whole nother story...

P.S.S no ones gonna want to read all that its my longest post ive ever had

211.. Hey, did you hear about 511? It's a new phone service (much like 411 or 911) but for traffic and weather and stuff. Very odd.

Anyways, today is supposed to be the worst day for pain and swelling, but it doesn't feel a whole lot different than yesterday. Same dull, consistent pain. Same overly swollen cheeks.

Oh, I know now why people with removed wisdom teeth can't eat solid food... I CAN'T EVEN CLOSE MY MOUTH ALL THE WAY!! Too swollen. Madness!!

P.S. Go Rick on your longest post yet!

lol ty casey...youve had many long posts. Well would you like me to tell you about my filling? Ok you do, so one day after halloween I was brushing my teeth when all the sudden I saw my tooth was pretty dark so I had my mom check it out and she said its a cavity so we need it filled. So we called up the dentist yadaa blah blah junk we got there yadaa blah blah ok so i'm in the waiting room and they call me up. When I got in there what they did was they looked at it and started gasping and stuff so i saw they got out the stuff that numbs you, so they put it in some cotten and put it in the side of my mouth, all i remember after that was seeing some metal tools and hear something like numbers and then a quick flash of pain then nothing...when i did see "something" I felt like I had 10 pices of bubble gum in my cheek and it felt weird so I went around like that for like 4-5 hours and the numb went away and whenever I bit some on that side it would hurt like heck for another 2 weeks. Then I felt normal.

THE END!

P.S. Lark should post his surgery story

P.S.S Moose you gotta catch up with me and casey
