Well, I'm just asking because I was thinking of starting one here. What is a battle arena you may ask. It a place where you can create a character like in any other RP, but rather then focusing on plot, you can focus in on the fighting aspect. Now naturally, in itself this can be quite amusing. However, you can also use it to test the mechanics of most RP characters in fight.
Thus it is also userfull. Furthermore because of the open ended system the arena would promote. It would also increase the litteracy. ((No pun intended because of my spelling.)) but would also increase RP logic.
Is anyone intrested in this idea?

Sounds like a good one. It isn't really my thing, persay(I'm a plot lover), but I think the others might like it.

I'm for it. Plot is important, yes, but the battle system is easily as important.

Ah yes, I have one condition: that there are rules, and that they'll be agreed on before the match. Godmoding is the death of forums.

one rule. I rule.
what j00 got in mind?
mayhaps an actual DnD format. Book is mandatory?
I hope things won't get too, out of hand, rules can cripple a game.

Its open sourced and pratical. (No DnD in other words... Unless of course you both agree to fight that format.) Basically their are no solid set rules persay, But the way it is set up you have to be fair and pratical. It'll take about a few days to get all the detials hammered out. But basically the rules will be like:
-No god modding. ((I'm sure you all know what that means.))
-Powers like magic or such can be allowwed. but keep in mind, if your good at magic, your proablly not that strong physically. And if you are, it means that your probably not excellent at both.
-Fights will allow logic interuptions. ((I'll explain that when I get the RP fully set up.))
Also, we will need a few incrediably pratical people to judge the fights. Basically solve alot of OOC arguments. So if their are a few highly intelligent, pratical people out their drop me a PM.
