Hey all!

I hope all of you get as excited as me about really interesting weapons... in games...

But, I'm just strange.

If you have any, post some of your favourite weapons you've come across in your FPS or the like game playing.

I would have to say that the supercharge gravity gun from Half Life 2 is my fav. Near the end of the game it's get quite a boost, and it lets you pick up things (from a distance) like large web servers and people and fling them around for your amusement.

hmm, nice but, I'd have to say the battlerifle in halo. the sniper rifles younger hotter sister. that and the energy sword & plasma grenade combo

Yeah, the pistol is sweet, but in halo I think i prefer the plasma pistol... nothing beats letting a charged shot rip through a jackals shield.

By the way I thought of another fav... it's called the Rhino II from ratchet and clank, and lets off about 100 missiles simultaneously at whatever your pointing it at.

boring, not to mention overpowered, i dunno, never played. I also like the springfield 42 in your standard WWII games, its perfect for give opponents brains some well deserved oxygen.

Well i'll have to be direct and say the "Titan" from the tiberian sun mod for C&C renigade. Simple, effective, and darn cool. A biped walker with a artillery canoon, can't beat that.

pfft, screw that, dark templar from starcraft, Brood wars. scionics, invisibility, mind control. whats not to love?

How about the rever? or a couple of seige tanks? Hey, he can steel control of one thing, but against a line of em... he becomes chop suea pretty fast. (though I am a DA fan. )

I think the clankinator in number 2 in ratchet and clank is best, or, rino 2.

Well usually I have a wall of spider mines and infantry with my seige tanks and goliths. (I am a ground unit pro... however I'm not to steller with air units... I at one point ranked 4th on the canadian AOL server.) Usual though I keep a few science vessels rolling around keeping things intresting. Usually nothing short of a 30+ zelot rush can get past my simpler lines. (And no, carriers don't work. I'm very anti air orintated.)

of course with the goliaths and such, but what about the protoss equivalent of the science vessels? they are quite good at shutting things down and providing an extreme steath tech. use air support from acrriers to draw attention away from the swhock troops, its blitzkrieg all over again.

... You're all way off. Any Metal Gear ftw, though particularly Metal Gear Rex. If Liquid wasn't an idiot, it'd be invincible.

if he wasn't so intent on martyrdom he'd have totaled rex and solid.

Well I guess the only way to solve this will be for us to actual fight to the death. Just keep in mind, your don't get 4th overall without knowing how to deal with major rush tatcis.

Hell, I beat 3 guys who were all zerg who had a constant multilisk rush as terran. I think I can handel a lil rush.

Plus all my best race is protoss, I know em inside and out... Such as there is no effective counter for the zerg against a templar in the orignal game other then one that costs 10x as much.

Gray Fox is entirely different! x_x ...

Regardless, it remains that Liquid was an idiot with no idea how to handle Metal Gear. Chain guns + Lasers + Homing missiles = DOOM, even to someone as ridiculously awesome as Gray Fox.
