Music?

Well, now that that's done.
Begin rant.
Why the Heck don't people at my school treat the music program with respect? I mean, they like rape the instruments of any decency, treat the whole show like a joke and don't even show up to music classes, and THEY chose them, and when they are asked to do something besides picking themselves they start rambling about a whole bunch of bull crap about how unimportant music is.
Let's get some rules down.
Don't like music, don't take it for a bird course cause it's not.
Take music, it's fun, but don't be an a-hole or else you might find something shoved up pretty tight in there.
Like a pole, or a fridge. Lots of blood.

Well said... Except for the whole "RAWRARAARARARAA*^%&#$*&#$ head ripping off" stuff...
But it is true, a lot of people take music classes and fight to be in them, but once they are in them they just don't appreciate how lucky they are to be in such a program. And nevermind the program itself, they are lucky to have Ms. Beelan. I mean, she is an amazing teacher and wants this program to work, yet most are not taking things as serious as they should.

well.. this all starts at my school since we are forced to play an instrument during our first semester in year 7 or whatever you guys call the first year of high school up in your freezing country. People just do music now for the rewards, not the music itself.

hm...
The only reward I can think of is a backup for bailing out of high school. I heard hobo guitarists make quite a bit of money.
And yes, Beelan is a sweet teacher. I wish we had a more expanded program though, I've taken every music related course the school has to offer. But it is growing. Apparently there is a vocal class next year.

Well not really lol, but umm.
Anyways, I really shoudl have taken that class, would have done me a world of good. I really need to learn what I'm actually playing half the time on the piano.

LOL
You don't need social skills if you have both. Linux will keep you too preoccupied, and taking up guitar will let you funnel your angst into a best selling double platinum MTV music video with backup dancers dressed up as punk goths.
Hm.... "contemplates"
