So, I really want to find a good MMORPG. I'm between credit cards (yes, no really, i am), so it needs to be free. I have only managed to get into GuildWars, and EVE for a while, played one or two others but nothing has ever managed to match the same feeling of fun and exploration of the earlier crappy 2D MMOs I played. Lower populations are actually quite nice, i like knowing peoples name... enough of my gibber jabber.

What mmo's are you playing? Currently; none, although i go onto GWars every now and again. I'm playing a very good, very low activity needed web game called cybernations (www.cybernations.net) and thats about it.

I need your help (and Drakir, god dammit, your game would REALLY fill this void right a about now).

Fast track to playing:

Register New Player
section Main
domains
choose the domain in which your player was registered
section Battle
battle


Everything else is pretty much in the secondary menu under Game.
View Equipment to buy stuff, Manage Equipment to equip, View Job to change...
Megell should love this. It borrows heavily from FFT.

After changing jobs, remember to equip your stuff again.

sweet i joined, but i a noob. I need to go train me stats. And er, dunno if any of you are still into pokemon but er, google pokemon crater and see what it comes up with.

It's a neat game. But...

-its horribly translated

-everyone there are cutthroat pirates

-the servers like to go down often

But, its filling the void until Dracky's little game comes out.

Yeah, FLYFF is good. Big world, fun to explore... and you get to fly on SNOWBOARDS!

flyff was awesome in beta, we used to get regular gm events and have fun in pvp. although it sorta got a bit corrupt as it got really crowded. i'm playing maplestory still right now, if you join i could always help you start up. sometimes when i get bored i go back to really old games like priston tales or even gunbound. dunno what style you'd like best

2d crappy games always have the best gameplay.

The communities are usually good, and they are relaxing... too many games are all action all the time.

Aww, come on, I just made a bunch of new abilities! Now you can actually learn something before level 15.
I guess it helps if you've played...

The essence is that you gain levels in specific jobs, get abilities, and then advance jobs. Multiclassing is also good.
