So the topic about NPC item distribution made me think of this. To stop people from stealing NPC drops from you, have the drop be reserved for the person who killed the monster for 10 seconds and then allow anyone to pick it up.
What do you think of this?

I like it. But do this only for items, alot of people might just pass on by money because they have "too much". Then noobs mob. And noob mobs = conflict.

Well, I do like manipulating group mechanics, but the noob mob issue is pertinent.
How about anyone in the party can pick it up, but everyone else (horde of noobs) has to wait for 10 seconds or so? This brings it back to being a group issue.
