Is it bad that, not knowing what a eugenics office is, I feel I ought to have scored lower? :P

Although, I have taken this test before. The first time I took it I got One Hundred Forty-Something

Eugenics is like...believing that by reproducing only certain people/animals you can make them smarter and better equipped to handle things. Kinda like selective breeding.

Tests like this (ones that you find on sites) are pretty much never reliable. Also IQ tests don't exactly tell you how smart you are. They only focus on certain areas of intelligence.

It's true. What does being able to quickly decipher patterns in a set of numbers have to do with your intelligence? Sure, it tells a bit about your logic skills but we all have different skills and abilities. Has anyone taken a real IQ test? Are they all the same like this?

I took a real one in grade four. It was one-on-one with a board of education lady. Mostly depended on logic. She gave me cue cards with pictures of a house and moving shadows around it and asked me to put them in order. There was other stuff too but I don't remember too well.

Hey guys, I’ve been missing for god knows how long, (I do exist.) saw this and had to drop into it.

IQ is bullshit. I used to hold up mine as a way of showing that I was smarter then most, but then I found out how it worked.

IQ is based on speed of brain processing, ability to remember strings of patterns, and active memory. In other words, it ignores BOTH expertise, and actual mental processing. (IE; someone who can actual solve problems.) However, what makes IQ tests viewed as a successful measure of intelligence is because they reflect a correlation with school success. (Remember, high school, and early elementary focus on memorization and how quick you can shit out answers.) In the real world however, IQ has very little to do with actual intelligence, there are unusually low correlations, in fact to the point of being insignificant between IQ and work/world success.

The reason we use IQ tests were originally to determine if it was worthwhile to put children through school. (Actually, IQ tests were originally designed for the French army, but those ones were different.) Because you ability to memorize complex facts and ideas were important, and still are, they developed this to decide the type of education a child would receive. (Life skills, or academic.) Typically, all that actually mattered was if your IQ was =/> 0 standard deviation. So in other words, and IQ of above 80 meant you were respectively intelligent, and higher then that actually didn’t matter.

But if you want to actually KNOW how intelligent you are, look up a test that examines of these; Sternberg’s Triarchic Theory (The best, focuses on pratical things including IQ but also other important skills.) OR Gardner’s Theory of eight intelligences (Personally I don’t like this one, but it is considered pretty staple so I included it.)

:P other then that, online tests are usually pretty shittastic, IQ tests in general are supposed to be verbal and administered by a psychologist because it eliminates both cultural bias and allows for an equal distribution for learning types. (IE; kinaesthetic, visual and audio.) Plus the invaluable assest of being able to judge test stress... AND ALSO because IQ tests online are notorious for being absolute BS… did you know the one on tickle was not a actually test at all, but a series of randomly generated numbers? Part of a study on human arrogance, pretty humorous huh?

Cheers, enjoy.

And, I voted for the 0-50, cause I'm a dummy alright, hahaha.

And I'm not telling my real IQ. Especially after that rant.

So wait... the tickle test gives you a bunch of random numbers then allows you to guess which number would come next? That's hilarious! To think of how much time we spend pondering on those things!

No, tickles IQ test generates a completely random IQ.

It's a basic random number generator. (well, it DOES have some differences.) just pick all C) and submit your answere twice, WHY WILL IT CHANGE?!
