fair enough...open source has its downsides as well, like recently a linux vulnerability has been found that goes back all the way to 2001 (although the exploit is for local privilege escalation only). the only way to be really sure is to test your code often. i have a sweet idea, a sort of framework, that i want to deploy across multiple programming languages, since php bothers me a lot now, and i intend to make it as an open project on sourceforge. its actually pretty sweet, theirs a lot of math involved too and its sort of hard to implement correctly (involves optimization).

other than that looks like things are going well! still talk to heather? anyone else from high school?

hey casey!

django looks really good...unfortunately i dont know python that well at all.

but i rolled my own php solution anyway...im not even at a release stage yet :( but i managed to implement some cool things like encryption, so i have my own personal address book on the net that is fully encrypted since i dont trust $BIGCORP with my data anymore... the second part of the algorithm i still need to work on however but its taking time! at least now the entire thing is open sourced so people can help me out...i am good but not that good.

i am at university now in waterloo for applied math. i was in computer science but switched since i found the "theory of programming" boring, i just like to program!
