Irish you say? Certainly a place thats come a long way in a short space of time, they even got motorways nowadays. But the traitors converted to the metric system a few years ago! Messed with my head last time i went. But they still drive on the proper side of the road.

Free energy... hmm now that without a doubt would change the world overnight, wars are for resources in general, finite resources which creates compotition. Energy technically allows us to overcome most of these problems, water, well desalinisation requires bucket loads of energy, but if energy is free, tch ching, no more water issues. Oil, need i say more, bing, problem solved... etc etc. We can live on petri dish gorwn tofu type stuff, massive amounts of energy mean even food might be less of an issue.

Its the holy grail to modern humans, energy, abundant, clean, cheap (or even free) energy, space travel, research, hover cars, all within our grasp.

Im not convinced this will work, but then im not a pshysisct (or a godd speller). Seems the problem is still in energy storage does it not?

Yes, well, this company stands to earn a lot of money. However, as I am hoping, there will be enough cheap knockoffs that the patents will become effectively null. Otherwise... Steorn would become THE government. You want energy? Do as I say.

Anyone up for some reverse engineering? Tear down whatever they produce and make something useful out of it.


Again, Faselei, I'm really hoping that mankind, having realised its goal, the "holy grail", it will be able to stop this widespread murder of Earth. Vat-grown tofu? How about a friendly cultivation of the land, as it's free?

Hm... I see a few inconsistencies in my logic... Perhaps this new source would only aid us in raping Terra? Humans suck.


Storage: not an issue. If the energy is procured on the spot, any waste would be acceptable. But then I suppose it all depends on the scale of output...
