Hmm very good question.
A 'decent level' i would say (only mho of course) would be enough to allow the player to explore the majority of the map and the 'open' areas, although not nessescarily the very high level hidden areas or neccessarily be able to take down the very highest level mobs, because frankly if you do get that high up, kudos too you, and the very high level guys need somthign to still aim for.
Well lets use a benchmark most of us would recognise, in Del 'decent level' would be 35 odd as this was enough to get to Darnorth, explore FireMines so on so forth. That would take about a month, with help from mates and not buggering about too much. In Guildwars well the cap is sod all and at 20 you can see more or less eveything, even if you still have to run away now and again, becuase you dont have the very expesnive armour needed to take down one of the most powerful enemies for eg. In Star wars Galaxies a 'decent' level meant hundreads of hours of grinding, or at least it did before Sony ruined the entire game...
Also Depends how much grinding is required, So in Del say a month and a bit to get to 50, Guild Wars level cap in about 10 hours of play which equates to about 10 days.
You guys made it clear this aint a grinder, not that i got anything against a little grind, quite theraputic. Anyways don't worry about me, but i guess you need to pitch it right so i hope that was some help.
Don't post here ever again.
