I made this one really quick, but got bored and didn't finish. It looks like complete crap from psd - gif.

Don't worry too much about it. The point of this is to learn.
Use tutorials if you must. Combine different effects to make something that is your own.

Wheee... So I'm not too great at photoshop right now. I'm a bit rusty but I will work on another sig that is completely photoshop, with no outside images.

Well, suffice to say he pretty much pwned us all as far as backgrounds go. The one I'm working on probably won't be as good as his second one.

Oh, and by the way, I absolutely LOVE the Chao in Sonic Adventure 2, so that doubles my already guaranteed (based on the skill level of the images) vote. Mine is crap in comparison, and no offense to anyone else, but I think he displays the most skill at the moment.

But then, remember, I've designed merely 3 banners and a business card in PS. And that's it. I've done no work in it besides that. So I shall grow immensly! ... Hopefully.

Sure, that way I can make another one.

Judging will occur by a voting method in which anyone in the forum can participate. Voters will PM me theirs votes by 11:59pm on April 25, I will tally them up and give a result. Also, voters will not be permitted to vote for themselves, this way, someone might actually win the competition.

Anyone that has joined the forums after April 11 will be excluded from voting but input in the forums will be accepted.

And uh.. Does that mean Vamp can't vote.. but he can still win? That seems to be not fair as you said you can't vote for yourself anyway. So there will be less votes for the others.. not that i wasn't going to vote for him. I guess i'm just a bit confused, please clarify. Thanks

The point of no one being able to vote if they joined after the 11th was to ensure (as well as I could) that there would not be any clones of a user that could be used to vote.
Even though VampCloud definitely joined after the 11th, I know that he is a completely new member. With the competition already begun and Vamp entered, do we want him to be able to vote?
Keep in mind that no one can vote for themselves, and I know that he is not a clone.
