Yea. It's just an example map. Like a goal to work towards. I'm not sure I understand what you mean storm. Could you elaborate on the problem/idea? :)

*pfft* show you up? Considering my VB skills go to page 6 of the "Learn VB in 28 minutes, for total, total dummies" book I dont think so :D

I can draw maps in mspaint - yay for me! :P

Serious tho, thanks!

As storm seems to know from the looks of those great screenies the 1st rule of mapping is 'attention to detail' the second is 'attention to detail' and the third is 'attention to feckin detail!'

 @ naylid - i will practice my zombie voice...

Don't post here ever again.

AutoREALM is a Free GNU mapping software (a "cartographer") that can design maps of castles, cities, dungeons and more. AutoREALM is generally used by Role-playing Game practicants who enjoy doing their own maps. But it could fits the needs of other people. If you are a Role-Playing gamer or else, you are cordially invited to join the AutoREALM community: fellows gathered around a free hobbyist map tool. Originally made by Andrew Gryc (say "grits"), AutoREALM is now Open Source, creating a unique opportunity for the RPG world to mix graphics and computer programming.

Yeah i got that... its seems strangely complicated for what it does. Hard to use.

Of course theres always this Profantasy this stuff is the hardcore, the crack cocaine of fictional map making, expensive though.

Don't post here ever again.

I tried to use AutoRealm but it was crazy and there was SOOO much to do. They need a slimmer version of it for beginners!
