are we to start at lvl1?

Did you know there's actually a guy named Jebus mentioned in the bible? He has a very minor and unmemorable role.

well, as minor and immemorable his role is, he beat you out, I mean, are you even in there? I am. heck I was the one who wrote the book of Judas.
I called it "Judas, The Real Disciple" pretty profound, huh?

And would we roll the characters or would the point system be in order?

It really depends on the DM. I won't be the only one!(Hopefully)

I personally prefer not to include dice rolls in online roleplays. I like for things to be left to the players' imaginations, with minor permissions from the DM. As long as the group is mature, we can avoid God-modding.

I pick up the chair and throw it through time and space into the back of the kobold's head just as it is about to be born. Then I go back in time to before I retroactively killed him and loot his corpse-to-be. Then the rest of my party dances for my greatness and gives me a tax of 70% of their money and valuable items. I forge some dirt into Lagu's Soul Incorporated in a war axe with the pure heat of my awesomeness and cool it with the flesh of my enemies. Then I hack through the wall, bypassing hours of lame useless creatures and rooms that took the DM hours of preparation and slaughter the dungeon lord and take its head and wear it, which gives me +10 to all stats.
I win this game so hard...

I could make you an online dice roller that would require you enter your forum user name and password to roll that would keep a log of previous dice rolls (so people couldn't just make them up).

OA, Oriental adventures.
I have been hurting to use it for sometime. It is one of my original pieces.
think about it, ninja, samurai, shugenja. everything oriental and good for the killing. plus it adds a little bit of the unknown, as it is not as popular as the normal D&D as you proved by having to ask about it.

What does it need to do just generate 2 dice rolls between 1 and 6 or is there more numbers/die?

oh gods, it would need to do everything likely.
D20, down to d3. ( I know there isn't a d3, its physically impossible but there are weapons that use it.)

Probably only the d20. dmg and hp can slide.
